VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION
The Township of Tiny has received certificates from the offices of Garfield Dunlop MPP (Simcoe North) and Bruce Stanton, MP (Simcoe
North) congratulating the Township for its participation in Volunteerism in
Our Community and for National Volunteer Appreciation Week.
SPEEDING COMPLAINT AT WOODLAND BEACH
A complaint was received from a resident of the Woodland Beach area with respect to the enforcement of cars speeding in the Tiny Beaches Road South, Park Road and Lawson Road area. An inconclusive general discussion took place regarding the cost of off-duty paid officers and the deployment of the speed radar trailer. Staff was instructed to work with the OPP to develop an operational plan for the deployment of the speed radar trailer.

FINAL TAX BY-LAW PASSED
As reported earlier, the Township’s tax rate has been kept low, but it is interesting to see the final figures on where all our money goes:
Municipal purposes $7,731,225 34.3%
County purposes $7,747,712 34.2%
School boards $7,080,705 31.4%
Total $22,549,642
SEPTIC RE-INSPECTION PROGRAM FOR 2011
Council passed a recommendation to continue the septic re-inspection program to 2014.
The areas to be re-inspected in 2011 are:
Rural areas of concessions 1 and 4, and of 6 to 7
Shoreline areas of concessions 5, 6 and 7 and 11, 12 and 13
